Clinical Psychologist Aslı Aşık, after graduating with honors from the Department of Psychology at Bilkent University, was accepted into the Master’s program in Clinical Psychology at Bahçeşehir University. She completed her master’s dissertation titled “The Mediating Role of Distress Tolerance in the Relationship Between Misophonia and Anxiety Sensitivity” under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Zeynep Maçkalı and graduated with high honors. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Bilkent University Twin Studies Laboratory, provided social support to disadvantaged groups through Bilkent University’s social responsibility projects for two years, and completed internships at Hacettepe University Hospital, Boylam Psychiatry Hospital, and Uğur Schools. She completed her clinical internship during her master’s degree at French Lape Hospital.

Following her specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during her master’s education, she completed the Schema Therapy Basic Level Training and supervision offered by the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST). On her path to becoming a Schema therapist, she also participated in training sessions on Schema Therapy respectively: Imagery Rescripting given by Prof. Dr. Gonca Soygüt, and Experiential Techniques in Schema Mode Work given by psychologist Dr. Esra Ersayan. She continues her supervisions for advanced level schema therapy certification.

Additionally, she completed EMDR Level 1and Level 2 Training given by clinical psychologist Asena Yurtsever and attended Eating Disorders Basic Training and Effective Methods in the Treatment of Eating Disorders by psychologist Dr. Feyza Bayraktar. Furthermore, she received training on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children IV (WISC-IV) offered by the Turkish Psychological Association. She is a member of the Turkish Psychological Association and the International Society of Schema Therapy.
