She completed her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University, Department of Psychology with high honors. She completed her master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy sub-branch of Istanbul Bilgi University Clinical Psychology Program. Currently, she is a research and teaching assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University and has taught graduate students in the application part of the “Couple Therapy” course given by Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Kafesçioğlu.
In 2024, she completed the Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy Level 1 and Level 2 training organized by the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) with Senem Zeytinoğlu Saydam. She continues her supervision for accreditation.
During her undergraduate education, she supported the production of the content of the intervention program for the “Strengthening Conflict Resolution Processes between Spouses Project” conducted at Koç University. She conducted interviews with couples who have experienced the loss of a child in the “Grief Project” conducted by Dr. Asuman Büyükcan Tetik at Sabancı University Self and Relationships Laboratory.
During her master’s degree, she has been working as a research assistant in Assoc. Prof. Sibel Halfon’s project “The Mentalization and Development of Symbolic Play and Emotion Regulation in Psychodynamic Child Psychotherapy”. Within the scope of this research, she conducted “Toy Story Completion Test” and “Child Attachment Interview” to understand children’s attachment types. In addition, she managed a 12-week group therapy process for children and parents at Istanbul Bilgi University and received the “Child Parent Development Workshop Practitioner Certificate”.
In 2023, she completed Marschak Interaction Method, Level 1 Theraplay and Group Theraplay training. She utilizes Theraplay principles when working with families.
Some of her areas of work include relational difficulties, interpersonal communication problems, self-confidence, stress and adjustment problems in adult individuals; communication problems and conflicts in couples and families, relational problems, pre-marital counseling, marital problems, child-focused family therapy and parent-child relationship, attachment, fears and anxieties, separation anxiety, test anxiety, anger control problems and aggression, sibling jealousy, screen addiction.
She is a member of Turkish Psychological Association and Theraplay Association of Play and Family Therapies
